E-learning compliance and core courses
Enlighten has been developed to assist companies in the food industry to meet their legal compliance requirements covering allergens HACCP, Food safety, labelling, pest control and root cause analysis training. Individual courses are easily accessible by all employees and reporting facilities to allow managers to track individuals’ progress.
Food Safety Culture Model
The Enlighten 4C Food Safety Culture Module was developed specifically for the food industry and as part of a research project undertaken by University of Sunderland and totrain. The module provides the tools and techniques for companies to evaluate cultural attitudes and patterns of behaviour in specific groups within the company covering Control, Communication, Cooperation and Competency. The information arising from the food safety culture evaluation can then be used to drive cultural improvement.
Food Safety Culture Questionnaire
When starting the journey to understanding culture within an organisation there needs to be a mechanisim for collating information on the current status quo. The Enlighten module undertakes this task through employees completing a culture questionnaire. This task is made easy and quick by employees logging into Enlighten and completing the questionnaire. The process is fully electronically automated removing the need to maintain paper records.
Reporting e-learning
Reporting could not be made easier through Enlighten as users have access to comprehensive reporting features for training records in the format of a Training Matrix detailing users’ progress and achievements. In addition course certificates are held on the system and can be printed off with the click of a button.
Reporting Food Safety Culture
The Culture reporting facilities also provide an in-depth reporting tool that allows the user to evaluate the results from the Culture Questionnaire by company, question category e.g. Control, Communication, Cooperation and Competency, level within the organisation and by individual question. Within the Culture reporting facility there is also a variance report that compares current culture questionnaire results with previous results.

All other tasks as far as possible have been automated covering uploading users, accessing reports and setting up the culture questionnaire.
